Rideshare Rewards Club

The Rideshare Rewards Club is an incentive program that rewards commuters for using alternatives to driving alone to get to and from work. Each day you carpool, vanpool, ride a bicycle, walk, ride the bus or telecommute instead of driving alone, you gain an entry into a monthly drawing for $1,000! Your employer must be pre-registered for you to participate in this program. Once you have verified your employer’s registration, fill out an application and fax it to us at 883-3755.

Electric Bicycle Loan Program

is for businesses in Monterey County and public agencies in Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz Counties. In order to borrow an electric bicycle a company or public agency representative must fill out a Release and Liability Waiver Form, a Lease Agreement, and attend a bicycle training. Then, fax or mail them to us and a rideshare coordinator will contact you with a training and loan date.

Emergency Guaranteed Ride Home Program

provides a free, emergency ride home to commuters who are committed to using alternative transportation. To be eligible for this service, employees must register with Commute Alternatives and commute to work some way other than driving alone at least one day per week.

Commuter Choice Programs

are tax benefits that commuters and employers can take advantage of. Commuters can get great tax-free commute benefits and employers can increase their benefit packages while reducing their payroll taxes. For more information on these tax benefits, email us.

Park & Ride Lots

serve as convenient pick-up points for your carpool, vanpool, or bus. You can email us a request for a map of the location of Park & Ride Lots in the Monterey Bay region.
